I was able to snag a pair at the Lewis Center Walmart (north of Columbus, Ohio), one for me to replace an aging Brother MFC-J430W, one for my daughter in college. They still had like 10 on the end cap facing the rear of the store in the electronics department.
I think it is perfect for our needs.

It was 3 free months but that ended on 1/31.
Just make sure that you cancel or change your plan BEFORE your last month starts. For example, if your account says the billing starts November 30 2023, cancel on or before October 31 2023. Otherwise, they will charge you for the month of November even if you cancel on Nov 1st.
I have done a few of these free Intant Ink printers already, starting way back from when they still had the free plan. HP bills at the end of each month used. It's in the terms but most people don't read/interpret it correctly. 90% of the complaints come from this problem.
