Just returned a 27" 1080p because resolution was too low. And my desk is pretty big. This would be quite a bit worse.
Not terrible deal but... it's 1920 x 1080 Display Resolution ... I'd recommend putting (1920x1080) in title or description of post.

IMO, most people would prefer at least QHD (2560x1440) in a 32" monitor.

I recently purchased a LG 32" UltraGear QHD (2560x1440) 165Hz HDR 10 Monitor with FreeSync - (32GN600-B) from Walmart for $200 in Nov. I like it. It's currently $239 ...

Really isnt a deal given that QHD 144Hz VA panels are in the low $200 range. Monitors last forever, they're worth the extra little bit especially at this screen size unless you only ever plan to use them for gaming.

Doesn't seem like this is really a deal considering it's 1080p

You don't want a monitor bigger than 25inch with 1080p resolution. Everything will look blurry and this is NOT made for gaming.

32" at 1080p means huge pixels. You'd have to sit pretty far back to make it look good, imo.
It gives a retro feel. Like playing the original Mario Bros on NES.

VA is just better. It's not the in-between IPS and TN people make it out to be. The only edge IPS has is viewing angles. The color has more to do with tuning done by manufacturers.

You can't say you prefer VA over IPS on here. People will burn you at the stake lol

Realizing that now lol. My opinion is unchanged though utilized correctly VA is a better panel technology as a primary monitor. You can make a really solid case for cheaper TVs using IPS.

How is the Costco LG one? I saw it in store, but the colors on the demo looked washed out and awful. Is it better in actual use? Also, does it have a VESA mount?

You must have great eyesight because for myself, 1080P on a 32 inch screen is still great.....

VA definitely isn't "just better" than IPS. IPS has better color accuracy than VA, and a MUCH better pixel response time. High end VA panels have gotten better at the latter over the years, but they're still nowhere near that of IPS or OLED. I tried two of the highest end VA gaming monitors on the market and returned both because the smearing was terrible. VA is better than IPS for watching movies, but IPS is much better for fast paced high refresh rate gaming and work that requires color accuracy (like photo or video editing).

Defiantly agree, well worth the little extra to get QHD 1440P.
you can also catch the HP X32 IPS QHD in this same price range.

if the res is "too low", how would moving closer help..? pixels just get bigger as distance goes down, so it would get worse and you'd be able to see more jagged edges.

agree with others, once you get to 27'' you want 1440... unless you're older, then 1080 is fine, they love it. kinda like that "mkxe text stupid huge" on your cellphone Wink at 32'' even 1440 starts to get questionable.
