Good deal, but last year it was on sale twice for $92.50 (i.e. $42.50 excluding the $50 gift card). The MS 365 subscription can be extended for a maximum of 5 years. Renewing with Amazon is simple and they usually have the best price. They do take over managing the subscription but that isn't a problem if you renew with Amazon. Just remember to turn off auto renewal and set an alert for these deals.

I've been locked in with 365 Family through Amazon for some years now. I missed out on their deals at year end, and my subscription expired a couple weeks ago. I've been checking daily, and happy this deal popped up today. If it goes down another $7 tomorrow I won't feel as bad as I would have paying full price. Thanks to OP!

Probably one of the better deals at this point in Office 365 history. Is amazon download one of the things that breaks a legacy subscription or makes it impossible to ever use a 365 credential in the future?

I wasn't sure about this but I tried using it to extend my existing family plan (previously purchased through Amazon) and it worked. When you try to manage the license from Microsoft's web site it will send you to Amazon and show that the old license is cancelled and the new one has been activated with the additional year added on.

EDIT: Not sure if it matters but to activate the additional 1 year, I grabbed the key from Amazon and went to Microsoft's activation page directly: https://setup.office.com/

Looking for this solution as well. Onedrive can still maintain total 6TB per subscription. Easily crossing 1TB due to all videos.
