So unlimited storage means everything is in the cloud and this doesn't work if there's no internet?

Edit: Answered my own question. No, they don't work without an active internet connection. There's no local storage. Lame

I've gotten three of these for family members. As the poster above indicates it mainly uses it's own service to tap into others, and needs an internet connection. The upside is they provide multiple ways to set that up in advance. The frame itself has a pretty good display. I haven't seen any connection issues with the ones I have, nor has anyone reported any issues. Luckily a frame going out when your internet connection is down usually isn't a huge deal for most. The upside is if you are a bit technologically challenged, this indicator can help you know your internet is down. But, in some circumstances without a dependable internet connection makes it a worthless device.

My worry is I years ago I bought a frame with similar functionality. The company went out of business and the frame was worthless

Would this fall under Costco's warranty in that you can return anytime?

Probably, but it depends on who you get at the return desk. After a year, they may give you a hard time about it.

These have no user access control. Everyone is an admin and that's the only configuration option. That is limiting in some use cases.
