Make sure you add the offer first and then the half-dozen. If you add the half-dozen first and then go and "activate" the offer, it doesn't apply (or at least it didn't for me).

These are (an absurd) $8.99 normally for a half-dozen.
There's too much negativity going on in this thread, imo. $0.50 per donut sounds pretty slick to me, even for Dunkin'-quality donuts. Thanks OP!
terrible donuts..use to make fresh in stores..now made in a warehouse and shipped to stores frozen..

Not sure what's considered a specialty donut, but I did 6 "surprise me" and 3 of them were the Valentine's Day special ones.

Dunkin's donuts suck ever since they removed "donuts" from the name. Guess it was to unhealthy a title as opposed to Krispy Kreme.

They wanted to become more "beverage led" probably because it's more profitable.

Really they frozen? I see a truck comes to mines every night. They bake somewhere else
No I worked at one for a few years in Highscool. They come "fresh" not frozen. By the time you can buy the donut at 5am open they are at least 36 hours old and most likely in open air the whole time. But never frozen. They would come to the stores in tall wracks with a very shitty saran wrap job on them lol

This sounds like their master plan in action to invest less money in donuts. Less variety to make. Less quality. Focus on Coffee and Drinks. And DROP the "DONUTS" from their company name! Much more profitable to sell coffee drinks than worry about keeping 20 different types of donuts in stock and keep them semi fresh before throwing them all away at the end of each day.
Their donuts are not made in store anymore.
Some may actually be FROZEN!
Went there once years ago, and wanted a Boston Creme.
The cashier told me that they didn't have anymore round ones but can defrost a square one and make one up for me. EEK!

Agree that their donuts are mediocre at best. Unfortunately, in many areas, they're the only game in town for donuts and also unfortunately is the fact that many people don't seem to know the difference between good quality and bad quality (until perhaps they're able to make the comparison). My recommendation....don't eat donuts, since they're deep fried and very unhealthy! Just to set the record straight, while many locations receive shipments from a centralized facility, they're not frozen! They're fresh. Certain locations do their own baking but these are typically corporate locations vs. franchise locations.

That's for sure I used to smell fresh donuts walking into Dunkin' Donuts now it's all stale. Looking for a small bakery shop that they make fresh donuts there

Not all stores bake them but there are ones where they are and then they get shipped to other stores.

Good luck. Near me (Southern CA), there are Winchell's which are decent, but all of them are in the hood and infested with homeless. Then you have a bunch of bougie donut places, which cost like $2.50+ per donut and aren't even very good compared to a normal donut. Randy's Donuts recently started expanding, and they are pretty good, but pricey. My favorite are actually donuts from Pavilions grocery store- big donuts for $2 each. Not an amazing deal, but they are quality and you get a lot. Although, sadly, even they are smaller than a couple of years ago.

I'm just commenting because of how disappointed I am with Dunkin's actual "Donuts."

Not only have they gutted their entire line (can't get Apple Crumb, Coconut, or ton of their other common donuts)....they have reduced the size and quality SIGNIFICANTLY.

Jelly/Boston Creams/etc have less than a cumshot of filling...they don't taste "fresh" anymore (hard as a rock, even at 7am)...and the price of them is insane comparatively to what you get.

I used to LOVE dunkin donuts. Ate them for 30 years. The last 2 years though, they not only went downhill, they went off the cliff. Horrible donuts. I'd rather buy a generic 12-pack at the supermarket for $5, then spend over $12 for a dozen of shit donuts.
Completely agree with every word said. I would rather not eat than eat Dunkin Donuts.
Used to love their food but in last few years almost every item in their menu went bad to worst and it amazes me how they are still in the business? and to add, most of their independent franchise experience is horrible.

Definitely not worth $3. Their donuts are nearly inedible.

Good price. Unsure if it's made off site. Randy's donuts is still my favorite. Sidecar if you like fancy ones
