A family member who runs a major food gardening org uses fabric bags similar to these. They plant them with potting mix (not soil), plant fruit trees in them, and bury them about halfway in the ground. Apparently it greatly reduces circling/girdling (the entire point of air pruning pots) while not using quite as much water.
That said, he's a bit particular about quality, and most VIVOSUN products I've used have been fairly cheaply made. If you want to grow woody plants and want the best air pruning design on the market, look into the Air-Pot (made by Superoots). And while the knockoffs may or may not be quite as durable, many use exactly the same design.
That's way overpriced
Let them sit in a "pool" of water with an overflow hole up about 1.5" to 2" off the ground. Some people literally use kiddie pools, but it's tricky to get the water level with such a large pool, unless it's on a level concrete slab maybe.
With this method, you just need to add water to the pool... And if you use enough sphagnum peat moss, the water will just constantly wick upwards for the roots. Best method of having ever!!

This is a good deal from my perspective. I bought these when they were on sale last year for about $1 less. They are very high quality bags and I expect they'll last for years to come. Everything grew great in them so I bought another 5 for this year. They're big enough that if you want to give someone a "starter garden" without much fuss, you can fit a few different plants/herbs in them.
Great deal but these require far more watering than normal pots. Tomatoes love the extra oxygen, but it is def way more work.

I put a "water pool" inside the bag, using the round take out plastic we occasionally get from Mexican & Thai restaurants.
Since the bag allows transpiration the water constantly wicks and up into the soil and won't stagnate or rot, but the quart or so of water that holds when watering makes it much easier to maintain a moist soil.
And yes, for water loving plants, going out of town for a few days, particularly hot and dry days I use an external pool. But this can get problematic long term with algae, mosquitoes, etc.
For a long absence I built a temporary pool with 2x4 and plastic liner and came home to a pool full of tadpoles, which did keep the bugs and algae down a bit .
If you live in cold areas, don't buy them, once the temperature too low the fabric will break easily. Science common sense
Have you experienced this?
My non woven grow bags were pliable this winter at -5°F
I have many of this 7gal size, purchased when on sale for $1.50 each ( 10 for $15 ), as of this post this brand is $22 for 10

Not accurate, I'm from east coast and I've 2 20 gallons bags from same brand sitting outside for past 3 years with zero wear. I grow pepper in them every year.
