About this deal:
Limit 1 Per Buyer.
This gift card deal offers a 15% savings.
Refer to the forum thread for additional details and discussion.
Offer terms:
This card is redeemable only for purchases at participating Ace Hardware locations or online at Ace Hardware.com. It cannot be used to purchase gift cards or pay Ace Hardware accounts.
NOTE: This offer is for an e-gift card. Unless I already have plans to use the entire card up right away, I prefer a physical gift card. Also, I think a physical card is nicer when gifting to someone else. YMMV.

WARNING: Even though I had a printout of the eGift Card, my local Ace couldn't figure out how to apply this for the life of them. After about 7 minutes we gave up.
Ace by me couldn't figure out their gift card promo their store was having around Christmas. Additionally, ace prices are generally higher than Home Depot and lowes so I don't see much need for this

I was finally able to use it online though.
Yeah, same with me, I have had the ace gift card for over a year now. I guess I'll have to make an online order!

It's not that bad. I ran into this issue using 4x $50, Paypal deal too, last year to purchase a PM 150G stock tank against Tractor and Supply. The store manager even deliver it to my house free of charge!!!
Yes my Ace hardware also didn't know how to do it at first but patience and persistence with a cheer on attitude worked. This 60 year old lady ended up figuring it out with her cashier team. It took awhile but I got a great deal!! I just used the remaining balance a week ago. I went in same issue but this time walked out within a minute when this older lady also didn't know how to do it!
I don't know when working for a deal became a hassle in SD but as a long time member I think others like me would agree some deals you want take work but it's worth it; that's life.
You would get better value shopping at Home Depot with $42.50. Not to mention they won't hassle you about not having a receipt for a return, and the return window is 90 days vs 30.
Every Ace I go to can't figure out these electronic gift cards (which they have to manually type into an obscure field), so I always dread going in an needing to use these while I backup the line. Online works fine.
FYI while this 15% is good, I regularly get 10-15% off Ace GCs at Raise or Cardcash (which I then immediately use although supposedly Raise warrants for one year)

For online gift cards, what the guy at my Ace Hardware had to do was to enter in the total cost into the field first then enter in the egift card # in the field next to where they input the total cost. Only one guy knew how to enter it in when I went and had to show the guy helping me how to use it.

Slightly better value, much worse customer service.
