Lowe's has replaced this with a newer double ratcheting screwdriver. New one is leaps and bounds better!!

12-in-1 Double Drive Assorted Multi-bit Screwdriver Set https://www.lowes.com/pd/Kobalt/5013488711

All of my complaints were fixed with this. The previous had:
—Sticky ratcheting, and losing torque on one side
—Awkward change of rotation because it's based on the head position
—Internal bits that required opening and closing the back constantly.

I wouldn't buy the other one for 5 bucks less

I've used this screwdriver for 5 or 6 years now, works as advertised. And has held up nicely being tossed around in a tool box
I have two of these, one from at least 15 years ago and one from 5 years ago. They're really handy to have around. The first one was given as a gift and I immediately thought it was gimmick / junk but it proved so useful I bought a second one. I even bought a couple more to give as gifts. Bit storage is loose in the handle so dumping them out to find the bit you want is the only minor drawback for me.

They're what you'd expect to be included with a $10-15 dollar screw driver. Fine for the hand driver but I wouldn't chuck them in a drill.

I honestly can't say. They got mixed in with other random bits I keep in a container, I use mostly #2 Philips and torx bits. Can't say I've noticed any noting working properly or wearing out. I go through a bunch of the Milwaukee long #2 bits and have not been happy with how quick they round off.

How does this compare to the LTT screwdriver? 😎

I've got one of these, my ratcheting mechanism sticks and is not as fluid as I'd like, but for $10 it's a decent buy.

Have you tried lubricating it?

Guess I got a dub because since day 1 when I bought this like 2 years ago the ratcheting hasn't work. 1 way works find but if you hold the middle part to ratchet both ways it just gets stuck. I actually just threw it away last weekend when I replaced it with a Milwaukee that I like 10 times more

Bought one of these a few years back. It's been holding up alright as a general go-to screw driver. I suggest using the torx bit to screw down the rotating cylinder, I clearly remember mine being loose when I got it. Most of the bits are okay although they're made out of softer metal, one of the flatheads is pretty wrecked on mine after minimal use.

I have one for about a year and a half. Rarely used but when you need it - you need it. The cap on the storage might come off when you use it. One of the small torx screws got loosen and lost eventually (I'd suggest to tighten those), but it fits my purposes for specialty tool

Bought one as a gift for someone three years ago and picked one up for myself. Certainly isn't precision engineered, yah there's alittle play in it but it has removed/tightened every screw I've thrown it at

Best for small, light jobs. anything that requires a good amount of force will normally cause it to bind or lock up.

This, like a lot of Kobalt stuff, is not even worth what they're asking for it. Cheap junk. Had exactly this tool for a few months and I don't even know what I did but it just suddenly locked up completely and I wasn't able to loosen it.
