This is for the M51a-H which has no uprifing speakers. Please correct your title to avoid confusion. Even though the M51a is a good soundbar, they're 2 completely different models.

I had the M512, but after dealing with the Atmos dropouts & getting no fix, I returned it for the Q990B. The Vizio Soundbars are great for the price.... when they work.

Have the m512a-h6. With the uprfiring speakers. Got it On sale for $350. Great bar.

I waited until Feb 1 for this bar to go on sale, watching most of its competitors get discounted in the meantime. Just bought a renewed one on Amazon for $219 with a two year warranty, but probably would have bought new.

Fwiw, Vizio is selling like new m512a refurbs directly from its ebay page for $330 with a warranty included. Not a bad deal either

From the official vizio Reddit sub, I've seen their updates cause multiple TVs to break in the exact same way that would make you think it's hardware related if you didn't see the similar posts. I can't imagine how many people have assumed their tv was dead and purchased a new one.

They placed a large ad on the remote app for the sound bars and TVs that's always there recently, while simultaneously breaking connectivity for customers using eero secure. I like the features for price if purchased at a good discount, but I don't trust vizio very much now. This probably would be less of an issue for someone not connecting to the internet from the start.

It's tricky as there's not many in the soundbar/AIO game...but Vizio is one that you just gotta side-step. Had an entry-level one from Costco where the rear speakers constantly gave out, resulting in soundbar-only mode. Seemingly only happened on BIG sounds too! Very annoying watching the Super Bowl last year and the rear (crowd) going in and out!!!

Find something else, whatever that something may be.

I had their sound bar not tv. And it always had issues. Was great when it worked but way too many little issues constantly

I have Vizio SB36514-G6 36" 5.1.4 from costco for last 2 years. ATMOS is very good for price. I use it with my projector to watch weekend movies. keep it simple with vizio. dont make a complex system and you will be surprised by the performance

I had that same sound bar and the 5 second sound delay when you paused or rewind shows and restart was just horrible and made it worthless, I tried everything and it was always a issue did sound great for the $199 Sam's had it for but it went back ....
