Ordered the Baseus 30w wall outlet chargers last week that were FP and was impressed by their Anker-like quality and decided to see if they had a dual USB C port car chargers... Seems like a pretty good deal.

https://www.amazon.com/Charger-Ba...0B257JD21/

Grey has the 50% off coupon

Blue has a 40% off coupon, but you get 5% extra off if you order one of each color, making them each $12.99, if you happen to want two.

Tempting. Do car chargers typically not supply more than 25W per port? I think my laptop requires 45W.

Btw I got the 4 USB port & 2 AC outlet 65W charger last week and it's been great so far. Not hot at all and no issues.

...Never mind. I'm still getting up to speed on the latest charging protocols. Baseus makes a 2 USB port PPS QC4.0 car charger that does put out 65W on one port, and it's also 50% off:

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B09YH85SKV

$14 after 50% off, just a buck more than this deal. More power but one less port, plus a digital display that does double duty in displaying your car battery's output.

Thanks again. I ended up getting the one I linked to, but wouldn't have thought to check it had you not posted this.

To summarize, there are at least 3 car USB chargers by Baseus to consider:

The 3 port 25+20+20W one you linked to for $13: https://www.amazon.com/Charger-Ba...B0B257JD21

The 2 port 65W/30W/45+18W one I linked to for $14: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B09YH85SKV (this is the one I got)

Good find on the one you got, that looks to be the best. And will even display USB output specs as well so you can confirm the expected charge rate.

The 100W one does that as well. It's just more power than I need or am likely to need, plus $10 more.

I read 1 star reviews for their 160w car chargers. Not good.

According to FakeSpot Analyzer, the car charger you mentioned has a D rating!
I would not purchase such item

Hmm, interesting, and thanks. I actually ordered one but might return it now. I also realized that it can actually only supply what the car battery and wiring can supply and the fuse allows before blowing. A quick check of my car's electronics shows that the lighter circuit uses a 15A fuse, so up to 180W (12V x 15A = 180W), but the FSM says no more than 120W. But, since this only draws up to 65W then that shouldn't be a problem. It's also going to impose a small trickle load on the battery if left in, which over time can deplete it if the car isn't driven for a while. But that D rating is concerning.

per 1 user review, OP's deal doesn't support PPS charging so you're limited to "fast charging" only for samsung phones and won't go higher than 20w if that.

Can you report back if it'll do more that 12v output? I don't think it has a buck-boost converter necessary to output the more-than 12v necessary to hit 65w output on a 12v vehicle. 65w may only be possible on 24v vehicles but I'm not sure.

A quick search through the product page yielded this:
Quote :
Dual Port Output Combination Mode:

Type-C Output: 5V/3A, 9V/3A, 12V/3A, 15V/3A, 20V/3.25A (65W Max)
USB Output: 4.5V/5A, 5V/4.5A, 5V/3A, 9V/3A, 12V/2.5A, 20V/1.5A (30W Max)
Type-C + USB Output: 45W+18W(63W Max)
So yeah, it has a buck & boost circuit which is how it manages to put out from 4.5V to 15V from a 12VDC input. It requires a 24V input to put out 20V. So I guess you do need 24V to get 65W. Not sure if other chargers can put out 20V/65W from a 12V battery. Might be more than what such devices can handle, at least safely and reliably, but my electronics expertise, as it were, can't answer that. But it looks like it can do 15V/45W, which is sufficient for most devices, including my 13.3" laptop and Pinecil soldering iron, so it's fine for my present needs. Of course I haven't yet tried either with it...

It also supports a ton of protocols:
Quote :
Supported Protocols:

Support PPS, PD3.0, PD2.0, QC4.0, QC3.0, QC2.0, FCP, SCP, AFC, MTK PE+, etc

It also supports a ton of protocols:
Per their CSR:

"When use in 12v car, the maximum output of the Type-C1 port can reach 25W, the maximum output of the Type-C2 port can reach 20W, the maximum output of the USB port can reach 20W. Simultaneous use of three independent ports will not affect each other and will not reduce the power of each port"

Good alternative find though!
