DTFO has not really been very good with their sales lately. A few here and there.
To me this is another snooze sale. They have raised original prices so high, even 40% off is just barely moving the prices to an attractive area.

Agree...this sale for factory blemished isn't much of a sale. A few of the recons that include batteries are okay but that's it. They shipped my order from free shio sale about 5 days ago. Slow but not quite as bad as its been historically.

Yeah and the pending charge jumped off my credit card. Still not clear when they will actually ship. Not sure if I'll buy from them again though.

Something else worth mentioning though - when they had a local warehouse sale in Mississippi, I spoke with the manager. I straight up asked him why they charge $15 for shipping. He said they will replace their online system in 2023 and the shipping charges will be calculated per item but also will be free for most items.

Meh... Agree on the snooze of a sale comment above.

One of my orders from the 40% off blemished with FS from almost two weeks ago is being delivered today. Another ship order and even the one I ordered for local store pickup are still processing. Roll Eyes (Sarcastic) I might actually have to stop by at the store today to ask about the store order. They're only 9 miles away from me anyway.

EDIT: Just got a "We haven't forgotten about you!" email from DTO, but only regarding my still "processing" delivery order. Nothing so far about the store pickup. Mystery continues. Not a biggie since I don't have any urgent need for any of the tools. Just an annoyance. Roll Eyes (Sarcastic)

I just received another email from DT... Wow... Just wow.. I had 3 items in my order. A flashlight, a glue gun and a brushless factory refurbished angle grinder. Guess what? They finally shipped the flashlight with the glue gun but refunded me for the grinder. I mean, out of 3 items, I could have used the grinder the most. What a shame. I guess they didn't want to let it go for $55 so they just decided to exclude it from my order.

Weird shipping issues. I bought the Ryobi planer + $15 shipping. It shipped the next day and delivered like 2 days after.

Same happened to me, delivered on a Sunday even. Mind boggling considering it couldn't have been very cheap

This..^^^. why I don't order from DT to often. Only when I don't need the item(s) anytime soon like within the next 3 months or so but I really would like/want and can use such item(s) and the deals are good enough to wait and along with that free shipping helped
Otherwise most of the DT sales are meh...

Got my Ridgid air compressor today, ordered Jan 28 w/free shipping. FedEx had it set for delivery Friday but you know how that goes, things change. Never had a problem with orders from these folks.

Agreed with above, snooze deal. Getting the main stuff from my order later this week. The free shipping + 40% off really had me going back and ordering more stuff.

Only thing not shipped yet were a pair of clip-on fans. They sent an apology email yesterday I think.

If they weren't cowards they'd discount the 40V Earth Auger Kit. Was using that yesterday and it worked great. When they had it on sale by itself previously that was a great sale.

Only one semi-worth looking at price is factory recon battery. Hard pass on that.

As for shipping, traditionally DTO use to ship about 14 days after ordering. FedEx is adding an iffy layer. Usually they say "delivery on day X" then the items hang up or take frequent flyer miles to visit a different city before eventually head to the right place.

Like others, it's worth buy when we don't need the stuff right away. Otherwise? Not really worth it... Sad b/c esp. the Ridgid with lifetime warranty have been good to us.
