Well directly from their site:

Of these 109 BLUE Buffalo products we reviewed:
43 products (39.4%) contain significantly fewer carbs than average.
118 products (108.3%) list a high-quality protein as their first ingredient.

Real hard to trust a site that either can't do basic math or is doing math on the wrong numbers as you can't have more then 100%.

With the above said I have had multiple cats and dogs over the years on Blue Wilderness, all have been healthy and all died of old age in their mid to late teens. Except for a Great Dane / Lab mix that "only" made it to 12 but that was pretty good for a 100lb Dane mix.

Also if you have a Pet Supplies Plus near you sign up for their rewards program. They send out a 20% - 30% off your entire order coupon every month or two and it works on sale prices which makes it a better deal then this one.

Choose wisely.

Much of their stuff is horrid (all of their dry is average or worse), some average, and only a few above average in nutrition: https://catfooddb.com/search?sear...0tastefuls

All of the wet foods include carrageenan, a suspected feline carcinogen.

If the expensive stuff is bad for them, I can only imagine what friskies and 9 lives would do.

This stuff is not Wilderness, which is mostly "average" and developed well before being assimilated by Megacorp Inc.

It is inferior with cheaper ingredients. Typical for Megacorp companies that include Mars, Colgate-Palmolive, etc.

When I first saw this I was thinking about at least looking at it. Then I remembered the first (and last) time I bought a bag of the dry cat food.

One of my cats got very sick from it. It wasn't an adjustment issue that went away easily. He had just got a clean bill of health from the vet. After getting sick on this stuff, he had gastrointestinal, kidney and liver problems and died within a few months. I will never let another pet of mine suffer like that. It was as if he had been poisoned.

This was long enough ago that I believe it was the original manufacturer.

In fairness, I can't prove a direct cause and effect with feeding it to him. In terms of the timing and circumstances I have a strong opinion that if Blue Buffalo cat food isn't what killed him, it may have hastened his death.

I wish it hadn't ever been brought into my home.

My cats got really sick on 9 lives. Google it and you'll see it has been recalled multiple times

9 Lives, Friskies, Purina, Iams, Science Diet, Royal Canin, etc. will likely make your cat lose several of those lives. Megacorp bottom-of-the-barrel unhealthy garbage.

Mornings they get Purina ONE kibbles.

Nights they get cans of blue buffalo.

We've had 4 cats on this diet and only 1 has hairballs that keeps coming up. It's the actual hairballs that cause the regurgitation as he struggles to breath with that lump of hair in his throat.

Purina is unhealthy trash. Canned Blue Buffalo is not much better and contains carrageenan, a suspected feline carcinogen.

Pumpkin fiber aids in passing hair, so high-quality foods with that are good choices.

I suggest trying the canned Tiki or Nulo on this list if you don't want to feed raw: https://cats.com/best-cat-food-hairballs
They're widely available in good bricks and mortar pet food stores; check their websites. You might want to buy a few cans to see if the cat will eat it before buying a case online.

If no improvement after exclusively feeding this for a week or two, then it's time for a vet visit (one who doesn't shill Science Diet, Royal Canin, etc. "prescription diets" that are mostly terrible like Banfield does).
