"eSIM trials must be activated by 11:59pm PST on 2/13/2023 to receive the full 30-day trial. Physical SIM cards must be activated by 11:59pm PST on 3/1/2023 to receive the full 30-day trial. If activated outside of this window it turns into standard 7 day 250 talk/text/data trial."

Note that this offer can also be used to get 3 months for the price of two (just scroll down the page) for those that were going to sign up anyway and want to move their number right away.

Always use a mint referral link or someone's mint phone number as you'll get $15 off your first renewal (and the person whose link/number you used will get credit too). This is when you buy the plan, either the 3 for 2 offer or if you sign up at the end of the trial. Obviously there is no referral credit for just the 30 day trial.

I may try this on my old Pixel 2 XL (that I actually ordered from Mint a couple of years ago) to see how the coverage is around the area. Thanks, OP!

Well it is free indeed. No harm no foul.

No clickbait and I mean no harm.

The T-Mobile 90 day trial requires you to port in your existing number, not useful if you are trying to get a NEW mobile number to port INTO fi. Mint gives you a new number, either eSim (immediate) or they will ship you a free sim. So depends on what you need - a new phone number/line to port around (Mint is better) or just try a new network for 3 months (t-mobile direct is better).

Does the free trial(mint or T-mobile) have roaming (Canada) coverage?

just curious .. in case of locked phones ,is the whole phone locked to the carrier or just the primary sim slot ? thinking to activate this as a second line if it works..

if the phone is locked, then it's locked to the carrier. The primary sim and esim are still locked.
