Carhartt is better value for money. Duluth makes some great underwear, socks, and pants, but they are generally overpriced.

Some Duluth items can be iffy for design and fit, too. They have a weird tendency to put hand pockets on their jackets that don't actually fit normal adult hands.

At this point I only buy their socks, which are actually good value and have lasted a really long time with daily use. I'd say their work socks are better quality and cheaper than Smartwool, and unlike DarnTough, they actually come in big sizes.
Reviews mention poor quality

Duluth Large is very close to XXL in most brands. Not even kidding. I have 2 large shirts and a large down AKHG vest from there. I'm 6'2", 210#, with a 47-48 chest and they still swallow me whole.

I'm not speaking for every piece they sell, but it's caused me a lot of hassles and returns over the past couple years before I learned Wink

If you have a local shop, at least returns are really easy.

Read size guide???
Xxl is 50-52
That would be quite a bit larger than 47-48

I have several of the 100 cotton fire hose pants and a couple shorts
I purchased these on super sales.... and I would rate carhart duck a distant third out of the two primarily due to stiffer, not a comfortable, worse fit, pinch somethings that don't like being pinched, wear out faster.
I like my old carhartt duck jacket but don't wear much at all due to being way too warm after move to florida

I don't comment much but I have a closet full of Duluth clothing. At first I loved them, over the last year. Everything is falling apart and the crotch is ripping out of pants. My jackets every elbow has ripper out and I've had to patch or repair. When I reached out they said they no longer have hassle free returns it's now one year and at their discretion.

Socks and underwater are holding up though.

I got my jacket today, they run larger than actual. My only complaint is the stupid button on the sleeve it gets in the way.
