Sennheiser sold its consumer audio division to a Swiss hearing aid company about 2 years ago so it's not really the same company that built such a strong reputation. I am not sure we know how good their products will be.

I have the GSP 670. Though some bad reviews, mine has worked great for almost a year. Sound great IMO. Deep bass and crisp highs.

There is no 3.5mm. Can use bluetooth, dongle, or sound through USB. Wireless dongle works best for me.

I've been happy with my headset from them I bought 4 years ago but as you said maybe things have changed. Linus did kind of say these models are decent.

I have the wired headset. No issues really so far and the sound is good. For the money I say it's a good buy for sound quality alone. For quality and comfort I still prefer the arctis series.
