    Why would a hub comes with wall charger?

    I got one in December, and it's worth the price. Surprisingly hard to find a usb c hub that has a usb c power in AND a separate usb c port for data. It's really nice to have one hub that can work for everything. Dual displays at 4k60, card reader, networking, audio, and data, all in one.

    The hub doesn't have power itself and it doesn't need a power source to work. It plugs into the Type C port and for many of us, that's the port where the power gets delivered. Since we don't want to lose the ability to charge our devices while using this hub, they've built in this feature that allows you to plug your charger into the hub. This way, the power gets passed through the hub and you still have the ability to use all those extra ports.

    I would have thought this was obvious, but you're not the first one I've seen confused about it needing power, so maybe this should be pointed out more.

    I have this one but a version that was slowed to 85W power delivery. Definitely a lot of ports since most modern laptops only have about 4 ports at most. And my audio driver was screwed at some point so it was nice that the 3.5mm jack on this device has its own drivers.

    I just used it in a customer meeting today... And for the first time ever, they only had display port as the only option.. this hub had it and it worked great!
