I play games solely on Xbox and I've tried a number of headsets over the years. Some old cheap Turtle Beaches, Astro A50s (Halo edition), SteelSeries. These Lucid Sound LS35X headsets are by far my favorite pair of Xbox gaming headsets; primarily for being completely wireless, ease of use, good mic, comfortable… good sound, but the sound is not as good as the A50s, but a much better mic and completely wireless. And this price is much cheaper than what I paid when they first came out (~$125 in 2019). I actually just bought another pair with this deal and added a 3 year warranty plan ($7.99). I never buy warranties… see below…

Having said all the above, one BIG caveat that others should be aware of. As others have stated above. There is absolutely a design flaw with these headsets and, based on my experience, they will break no matter how careful and gentle you are with them. I had a set, the plastic connection broke near where the headset meets the earcups on both sides. Starts cracking and then completely falls apart. It was less than 1 year after purchase and still under warranty, so Lucid Sound responded quickly and sent me out a full replacement quickly. I treated the replacement headset extremely careful, always hanging on a headset stand/hook when not in use, and they broke in the same spot as well. This time a little after a year. Note, I'm an older adult (40s) and usually pretty easy on my electronics. I did not try contacting them again for a replacement. Instead I literally taped them back together in a fixed position and still use them to this day. Even over the other headsets I mentioned above.

Hope this helps anyone who may be considering them. I very much recommend them. Just know what you're getting into.
Got one, worked great, then broke after a few months. Got a replacement, worked great, then broke after a few months. I like them, thought the build quality was good but they don't seem to last, and that's coming from someone who takes care of their stuff. Switched to a SteelSeries set and haven't looked back.

Looks like a great price. Was about to pull the trigger but the entire review section is full of pictures of broken headphones.

Would it be worth getting the 2 year Asurion warranty for $4.99? Lucid covers the headphones for the first year so if it breaks within 12 months they'll supposedley ship a new (not refurb) replacement. If the replacement pair ends up breaking you file a claim with Asurion and get your original purchase price back as an Amazon gift card. Going this route doesn't sound too bad?

The headband looks very similar to the Corsair HS70 series I bought a couple of years ago, that I barely used since I liked the comfort of HyperX.. and actually mostly use ear buds for work. If the other comment about build quality is true I don't think the head band will be durable even if the sound/drivers are good? If you live in a warm environment, the head band pleather material will likely crack on it's own. You could buy one of those neoprene sheeths for it... but that means you're spending more long term.

Do you like dealing with warranty issues on a $60 item?

If you game on xbox, these are fantastic headphones and a great deal IMO. I got a pair from Costco and these are some of the best headphones I've ever used (I've tried out the Astro A50s, Corsair Virtuoso, SteelSeries Arctis Nova Pro). The mic monitoring, chat audio control, and sound quality are some of my favorite features. My first pair did crack and break at the left ear pivot point. I used some tape to hold it together, but since I got them from Costco, they eventually sent me another pair right before the warranty ended. I ended up selling my second pair because I mostly game on my PC these days so a word of caution as I never could get Windows System Volume Control or chat audio to work right.

In for 1. I've wanted to try these for a long time and for the price they are just too cheap to pass up.
