Even though already mentioned, seriously do not forget to get a quote on those resort fees, some are quite pricey.

I compared pricing directly to MGM Resorts website (and even calculated in the 10% off potential if you use the Travelocity app and code APPONLY10) - still came out $5-10 cheaper on a stay in mid April....

Seconded. This really should be in the main post. These resort fees will be more than the cost of the room. $26/night sounds like a great deal, but $70/night isn't an incredible deal for a weeknight at a hotel.

For example, the resort fee for Excalibur Hotel & Casino is $39.68/night, on top of whatever room rate you have. The resort fee is charged at the front desk of the hotel. I don't know whether this website quotes the fee at the checkout (some websites tell you that the resort fee will be charged at the hotel, and some don't say anything), but you are definitely NOT paying it today on that website. So you final cost is what you pay this website + $39.68/night at the hotel.

While not an MGM Property, I am sure that it will work elsewhere in Vegas too. When checking into the Venetian I have tipped the check-in person $50 for a 'complementary upgrade' and to 'do something about the resort fees'

9/10 times the resort fees were waived. The one time they weren't, I inquired while checking out saying something like 'When I checked in I was told the resort fees were going to be waived'. That person then took them off the bill.

Add $50 resort fees, not really a deal. The rooms are always this cheap on the weekdays.
