Comparing these to Quaker bars, is like comparing bananas to cigarettes. Look at the ingredient list.

And next time I think you should post in dark grey type it'll be a lot easier to read than purple.

These bars taste great, but I wouldn't say they are the healthiest. You could do a lot worse though.

Literally jumped in here to say the same thing.

Let's just be real.

These are candy bars.

I recently tried one of these bars with the cranberries. I been trying to lose weight, so I went Pescatarian and cut out all beef, chicken, pork, chips, bread, etc. I thought these were a healthy alternative to candy bars as the one I ate had 160 calories vs 250 for a Snickers bar. 240 calories for Milky Way and 250 for Butterfinger.

I will say it was pretty good and the sweetness took care of my craving, but I do miss a regular chocolate bar. So to scratch that itch, I looked at Granola bars, as many brands have some with chocolate in them. I found out that they are a much better alternative calorie wise, than these kind bars. Also, they tasted much better and were more sweet. As an example, Great Value has the chocolate chip granola bars with only 90 calories. Their smores bars are 90 calories and peanut butter chocolate chip are 100 calories. Quaker brand chewy granola bars are the same, with between 90-100 calories per bar, depending on which flavor.

If you want to go full on with even more sweetness and chocolate, Quaker makes a granola bar called Dipps, that are completely coated in chocolate. These are 160 calories each, the same as the Kind bar I tried. If you want fruity, Great value makes a variety of breakfast bars(strawberry, apple cinnamon, etc) that are 130 calories each. Several other companies make them as well, all around the same calories range.

I guess my point is that Kind bars are good and probably healthier than traditional candy bars, but there are a lot of alternatives for less money.

Can I just say not all calories are equal. There will always be much more nutritional value in 160 calories of mostly nuts compared to 160 calories of processed chocolate and who knows what.

Last time I got this deal, the bars were like 2 months away from expiration. I'm not sure if this is a pattern for discounted bars, but just keep that in mind.
