Please state that it's a Chromebook in the title. Thanks
Looks nicer than the other Costco Chromebooks. AUE is 2029, so plenty time before updates end.
55x 4.4-star reviews is 'pretty bad'?
The reviews look favorable and it's priced at $549 at Best Buy.

What is the comparable Intel processor to this? Celeron or i3?

Googling the Costco model number shows it as the Acer spin 514 for those wanting to do more research.

Better than a Celeron but similar to a 10 gen I3.

It should be powerful enough for a Chromebook for most things. The 8GB DDR is very important.

Can I use this laptop to connect a Cam Link capture card for Zoom streaming? Never had a Chromebook before so not sure what the limitations are.

Anyone remember the Best Buy Chromebook last year? The price kept jumping up, then down. Everyone had good things to say about it.

We bought it to replace an aging Toshiba Chromebook, but the maximum sound was way too soft!

Anyone know if this Chromebook has good volume through the speakers?

I know next to nothing about Chromebooks, so I apologize for a potentially dumb/obvious question. My only point of reference is the Samsung Chromebook Plus v1 from a deal back in 2017 or 2018. It has served me well for the limited use cases I've used it for. One of the big selling points then was the ability to use apps from the Play Store efficiently with the ARM processor but that functionality was becoming more common at that time. With all that said, is it a given that newer Chromebooks like this one can do the same? If so, should I expect a noticeable performance increase in this machine?

If you open more than 9 tabs or use many apps and have only 4 GB of DDR you will notice a huge difference with 8 GB. Updates are faster with a better CPU but for the most part this one would be enough.

That is the AMD 5000 series released last year though, correct me if I'm wrong but same performance?

Just bought one. I love Costco just never understand the charging for shipping on any products given how much you pay for membership.
