Any thoughts? Is there better or more preferred full size keyboards out there?

My first true mechanical keyboard, I wish I would have gotten one years ago! I've had this same Razer Huntsman for over a year now. Its wonderful to type on! I can't stand the Razer software, its over bloated, always updating and ½ the time it was a reboot. The software wants a login/account. As for the keyboard, the volume adjustment knob hangs off the side, and is easy to bump on accident IMO.
I got mine on sale on sale $99. If I were to do it over again, I'd go with a Steelseries KB.

Been using Razer, Corsair, Logitech and a few cheaper brands, I'd say Razer's quality is good and also their Customer support. I'd jump into it if it's tenkeyless

what's wrong with a login account? It's convenient when you have multiple machines and want to sync up your set up/profiles.

I price matched this with Best Buy. Supposedly, V2 is less sensitive and has a more cushioned wrist rest. Those were the two issues I had with the original version.

These keyboards are all basically junk. They are made with very cheap switches, the keycaps are low quality, everything that makes the board sound good from the housing to the stabilizers are cheap.

Just buy whatever looks cool to you and fits your price point, because on the inside, these boards are all rotten.

If you want to get a real upgrade from mass produced "gaming" keyboards, look into companies like Akko, Keychron, Realforce.

Watch a video from Taeha Types where he takes one of these Huntsmans apart and reveals how cheap the inside of the board are.

If you're talking about Keychron and Realforce you are not looking for a gaming keyboard. Those are typist keyboards which are meant to feel and sound pleasant. The selling point about gaming keyboards like this one is the optical switches, actuation point, and the claimed incredibly high hertz speed which supposedly gives you a millisecond advantage. If these claims are real, it's kind of a big deal in fast twitch games. I doubt it matters for the regular gamer but for pros and high end players they probably want to be on better or equal footing as everyone else.

I was using razer stuff but switched over to SteelSeries and have been very happy. I wasn't a fan of the razer software but the hardware was always so good. I used their TKL pro series for a long time.
