Really enjoyed this movie, but my hopes for its sequel have been fading year over year. It needs one badly. Easily worth it at this price, even if it ends on a bit of a cliffhanger. Also the best use of a single F-bomb as I've ever seen in a movie. Perfectly timed and perfectly used.
This movie way exceeded my expectations, would definitely recommend at this price (I bought it for around this in the past).
Yeah but people are dumb, and if it's not a superhero or a reboot of some kind they don't know what to do with themselves.

This is a great movie in 3D for the dying breed out there that still enjoys those like I do.

just coming to say that I was very pleasantly surprised by this movie. i expected it to be pretty weak, but ended up enjoying it quite a bit.
I, too, have just about given up on a sequel, sadly.

christoph waltz has already said that he'd like to do the sequel...what are you waiting for??

For those who are hoping for a sequel, I think we will get it... But it might take some time.

https://screenrant.com/alita-2-se...-exciting/

At the premiere for Avatar: The Way of Water, Alita: Batttle Angel producer Jon Landau dropped a hint about Alita 2. Responding to a question on what projects he and Cameron are working on after the Avatar sequel's release, Landau stated, "Well, there's a little film called Alita: Battle Angel that we'd love to circle back and do a sequel to. Been talking to Robert [Rodriguez] about that and hopefully, that comes to fruition." While not officially announcing the big-screen return of the cybernetic martial arts warrior Alita, Landau's comments nonetheless are the most exciting news on the sequel's future to date, for a few reasons.

I'm thinking you got it backwards, my 4K Blu-ray disc says Dolby Vision.
I have Oled displays and don't have this on digital to confirm that side.

You know what, I think you're right this is user error. My problem is my Series X- no Dolby Vision supported on Blu Ray, only on streaming and games. But I can also confirm Dolby Vision is there for streaming Alita, and unfortunately (for me) looks much brighter on my OLED than the via 4k disc.

The main feature is graded only to ~200 nits. Dolby vision full enhancement layer is only impactful in encoding for highlight detail much brighter than that.

I don't even think this movie uses FEL, it's most likely MEL, which means hdr10 vs dv will be virtually indistinguishable. nod

MEL might cause your tv to produce a different image, depending on how it works with the metadata, but it's neither better nor worse than straight hdr10.

Yea unfortunately this always gets misinformed and causes confusion.

It's not just the transfer of the movie into that metadata.

How that metadata is processed plays a role, there is no standard.

The quality of the display and how well it displays that metadata plays a role.

Not to mention we can't even take full advantage of HDR let alone DV/HDR10+.

Ask and you shall receive. I just saw an ad announcing the sequel. I've been anxiously awaiting its sequel as well.
