That's exactly what I loved about the game: that it didn't hold your hand along the way, spelling everything out for you the way 99% of games do. I personally would've been disappointed if it wrapped everything up in a neat little package with a bow on top at the end of the game, as most games tend to do

I felt the exact opposite. Game itself was fine, ending was inexplicable and tried too hard to be mysterious, but rather was just a poor ending. No payoff or explanation to all the build-up.

I picked up Hong Kong Massacre on a previous sale, and it's been great for short portable pick-up gaming. Really well done, compared to Hotline Miami but slower and strategic

That's Playdead for you. Limbo's ending was also sudden and kind of "what? really?"

I got an earlier version for my 6 year old. It's not good, but not terrible either.

It can be hard to tell who the pieces are, and needs more levels of difficulty.

There is no great chess game on the Switch afaik.
