Woot[woot.com] has Energy by Klipsch 5.1 Classic Home Theater Speaker System on sale for $189.99. Shipping is free w/ Amazon Prime, otherwise shipping is $6.
Yeah, this is a pretty spankin' budget deal. As a HUGE Klipsch fan (all my speakers are Klipsch RP speakers except my SVS sub) I would much rather have this Energy setup than their small premier speaker bundle that we see on sale at CostCo a lot.
You can also get a budget 5.1 receiver for pretty inexpensive (especially refurbished or used) as well and have a really nice setup 500 bucks or less.

Anyone here have a recommended receiver for these speakers? Something super basic, but reliable. Think bang for your buck.

Depends on your room size, but get any decent Denon or Yamaha 5.1 or 7.1 system either new or used imo. I run these on a Denon 2313ci from 10 years ago and it is fine. These are great speakers for a secondary room, esp. for the money.
Get the jamo s803 5.0 pack
Then you're $40 in on a subwoofer already. Best deal on anything ever
I'm not sure why the thumbs down, this is also a viable option. And you can get an "okay" sub (like Polk) for a hundred bucks or so, so half the cost is already covered there.
I have no experience with Jamo, but they are also Klipsch.

As someone else mentioned, Yamaha's receivers are stellar. You can get the RX-V385 for 300 bucks on Amazon right now. But, from what I found, you're likely to end up wanting to expand into higher end gear... so get your hands on something for a good price (not Pyle or something like that) to familiarize yourself with HT setups.

I wouldn't touch ONKYO or Pioneer (also ONKYO) as their phone app is the most garbage shit ever.
Every day I wish I had gone with Yamaha for my high end receiver. Or Denon.

I mean I ALSO think Onkyo is garbage given my experience but that's limited. The app sucking is just icing on the cake.
