seems to struggle with steel
you can buy a set of cobalt drill bits for $8.50
rather than $5 for 1
Do you have first hand experience with these particular Hanson Cobalt bits? I've never used Hanson cobalt bits before, but I have used dewalt, Bosch, and Greenfield cobalt bits and all of them eat through mild steel like nothing, especially with the right speed, pressure and cutting oil.

I really don't think you're going to find any legit cobalt drill sets for $8.50. The main brands all hover around $25-$40 for a 13 piece set. You might be able to get a harbor freight HSS or Titanium set for $8, but I doubt they'd last to long going through steel.

How is the US still using measurements like 31/64 of an inch in 2023? What is it going to take for the US to catch up with the rest of the developed world and start using normal metric measurements? Easy base 10 is the way, obviously.
