I followed up on Neilpoleon's (https://slickdeals.net/forums/member.php?u=1108837) comment on the free manga from Google/Amazon post (https://slickdeals.net/f/16519501-attack-on-titan-ebook-more-kodansha-manga-comics-free-google-play?v=1) and found the too-good-to-be-true deal to be real. (I learned my lesson from the James Bond 24-movie bundle for $9.99 on Vudu. laugh out loud)

It's a suggested $25, but you can contribute more for charity. Seems legit since "Humble Bundle, Inc. a Ziff Davis company" (at the bottom of the page). I assume they'll just e-mail you a link so you can download the files in epub, pdf, or cbz format.

I haven't bought it myself...yet. I have more than half of the original AoT manga which I still haven't read yet. shake head

For someone that knows nothing about AoT, is this essentially the complete collection?

There have been previous attack on titan manga bundles. So if you got those, a lot of these are duplicates.

Hey, thanks for taking the time to nicely format the entire deal, SD staff. This was not my find: I followed up on Neilpoleon's (https://slickdeals.net/forums/member.php?u=1108837) comment on the free manga from Google/Amazon post (https://slickdeals.net/f/16519501-attack-on-titan-ebook-more-kodansha-manga-comics-free-google-play?v=1) and found the too-good-to-be-true deal to be real.

Now that I got that out of the way, you can upload the PDFs or EPUBs to Google Books and read them just like any manga you buy from Google Play. Don't know about CBZs though. I think I tried to upload a similar comic book format, CBRs, and it wouldn't let me. Don't know if Kindle allows uploads of personal PDFs and EPUBs like Google.

To anyone who ordered already, do Humble Bundle allow you to choose only one format to download?

Downloading is a bit of a PITA. There is a bulk download button but the browser I used (Chrome) only went maybe 1/3-1/2 way before giving up and I had to download the rest individually. Compounding the problem was the fact that not only did the bulk option downloaded in some random order but that the book listing isn't in any sensible order so you have to keep track of what's already downloaded to prevent duplicate downloading. And yes, you can redownload or download a different format as needed. Some files are only available in one version: the light novels only on epub and Humble exclusive artbook on PDF. The AOT mainline manga lacks the CBZ version from vol 27 onwards.

edit: Both epub and pdf should be doable on Kindle. They do have instructions on how to do it linked on the download page.

This is kind of a weird split in the tiers. The middle $15 tier has volumes 1 to 20 of the main series but not 21 to 34. If someone is reading the main series they'll want the entire set. So who is the middle tier for? Someone who has the main series already but wants the spin- offs? But then most of the spin-offs are not complete either.

I can get the point of the lowest tier. It gives you a flavor for the series without spending a whole bunch. For people who are not sure about whether they'll like the series, they can read the first few chapters to get an idea, and then decide to buy the rest.

They ought to have split it this way -
• Lowest tier - Gives you a sampler
• Middle tier - Gives you the full main series, OR gives you the complete spin-off set
• Highest tier - Gives you the complete main series + the spin-offs

I realize they did it this way to push folks into the highest tier. But in that case, might as well just have the lowest and highest tiers only. This weird split is neither here nor there.

I agree but i feel like it's to pull users who're looking to buy tier 2 to pay for tier 3. Is tier 3 the complete collection (so far)? Would you say AoT is a good Manga to start for someone new to Manga? Appreciate your response Smilie
