do these run big like most boots? I feel like I had this exact type of boot years ago and I fit into a 10 - where as I typically wear an 11 in shoes (I can fit into 10.5 but prefer a little extra room).

Amazon says "Based on purchases by customers who wear your size, 11 will fit you best."

thinking to get 10.5

Timberland website directly used to have great sales pretty regularly. Woildvget nice boots for $40-50 range but it's been awhile. Bought a pair of black ones of white ledge boots several yrs ago from Amazon. Solid, basic light weight boot. Synthetic leather though

I got this from DSW on this offer https://slickdeals.net/f/16464619-timberland-men-s-white-ledge-waterproof-leather-hiking-boots-3-col... and I've been liking them so far, the fit, color. We took a trip to Lake Shasta and the weather meant nothing to these, they were so comfortable and warm too, I would definitely would by a spare pair.

According to Amazon, bought the same boots in Dec 2014 for $.01 more. Seems like a steal with todays inflation. In for 1. Thanks OP

Meh. Still have a pair I bought around 2000. The outer soles (treads + mid-soles?) completely just fell apart eventually, with very little use. Not something I'd ever seen before. I'm left with a near perfect condition uppers... almost like odd shaped moccasins. Another pair of Timberland boots I had, the treads turned rock hard and all but useless (very easy to slip with, on any smooth surface.) I can understand shoes failing from wearing out, but these both just self-destructed after almost 10 years in the closest gathering dust. No more Timberland shoes for me, regardless of the discounts.

I've used this exact boot as a pair of work boots. 2.5 years, and the soles are starting to detach in the high wear areas. I beat them to all heck, and they have held up really well, mostly still waterproof.
