The DDR can be upgraded the 4GB is soldered but there is a slot to add more. There is also a NVME Slot to add more memory.

I suggest both then this should do very well with 12 GB DDR and 500GB NVME or more if you need it. You will keep the 128 GB eMMc as that is soldered.

This should be plenty fast enough for web surfing word and such. The HD display is not great but this is a great price for what you get.

The CPU is dual core and not terribly fast.

Crap CPU, crap display (1366 x 768), and insufficient RAM. Even if you upgrade the RAM, you are still stuck with the crap cpu and display. Out of the box, this machine will offer a poor user experience.

This isn't a "deal", this is a fair price for this crap computer.

Double the CPU cores
Double the RAM
Double the SSD

Problem is many of us don't have Microcenters within 500 miles. Sometimes their deals are so good that they've made me consider moving lol

For the same $200, you could get a 14" FHD display with a better 2C/4T Athlon Gold 3150U processor and much faster 128GB PCIe SSD from Walmart. https://www.walmart.com/ip/seort/623002204

Agreed, if you are within a micro center store get this instead. Double the RAM (Upgradeable), double the storage.
