Also, note that the filters seem to be broken...visiting the RF 50mm, and then navigating up to all refurbished lenses, there are quite a few with the RF mount. But if you filter to just "RF Mount" using the filters on the left side of the page, it only shows 4 lenses, which is incorrect.
Considering the Rebel T7 ($320) for my kid who wants to get into photography... anyone have an opinion on that vs. a comparably-priced alternative?
Would be perfect. Check out the M50 or M100 for similar quality levels, but different lens format. I bought the M50 with the 20mm pancake several years ago and it was a great entry into a mid-tier Canon. Depending on age, the M bodies would be ligher, and with adapter could accomdate the other lens formats. Look for kits that include one or two included lenses. Many/most of the Canon camera menu systems are the same so moving up to a higher tier would be easier

Getting the articulating screen is a very nice feature and well worth the upgrade to the t7i. Especially for a younger photographer trying to learn different angles and shooting methods.
Bad deal. Brand new 5D Mark IV was only about $1200 a couple years ago. Plus, it's 6 years old and way outdated.
I agree the 5D MIV isn't the top budget tier anymore. The new Canon R6 is about the best pro-am camera out there right now in the Canon lineup. Has the same sensor at the R3 at a fraction of the cost. Unless you're needing to do a lot of cropping.
