Great drive! I use the 2TB version to offload and run my PS4 games on my PS5. No issues whatsoever.

Man ssd drives are dropping like a dud.

I wonder if we will see 8Tb 200 250$ by EoY or Early 2024.

I have a 2tb and 4tb of these drives and love them! I paid $10 more from Amazon about 3 months ago for the 4tb version.

I have a feeling they will cut production and drive SSD prices back up by 2024.

You are absolutely right, things like this happened before. A big fast drop then creep up later.

All the DRAM/NAND makers, Samsung/Micron/Hynix are losing money with current pricing. So they are cutting production a lot to stabilize, it's just their inventory and channel inventory have not been cleared yet. I'd say, price will go up a bit no later than September.

Genuine question. I don't know.

Does anyone know what the performance difference is like between the 4gb vs. 2gb versions for Macbook use (GUID Partition Table + APFS)?

Asking because the T7 SSD is popular among video editors given its performance. From what I've additionally gathered, SSD capability does matter when working with large files in Final Cut Pro X (even when paired with an M1 or M2 Macbook).

There should be much, if any, performance difference between the two. The limiting factor is the USB speed.
