Energizer appears to have cells made in China and Japan. I highly suggest avoiding any cells made in China. Costco Energizer kits have always had cells made in Japan. I bought them three different years (waiting for them to go on sale/clearance).

Avoid Chinese batteries. Avoid chargers that cannot charge individual batteries.

From personal experience these batteries tend to die out super quickly I'm assuming a lot of them are Chinese cells. I have also found the charger to overheat easily and cause the batteries to go faulty/bulge.
Like many others have stated wait for the better batteries yes they cost more but they will last you infinitely longer.
I'm lucky if I can get one year out of a set of rayovacs or energizers or whatever American brand rechargeables are out there. I paid two to three times more for quality Japanese batteries and they last forever it seems.
