This is an incredibly useless tool and at this price it's absolutely ridiculous. There is no good reason to have a dedicated m12 hammer drill.
Replaced 16 4x4 post base under a 25 year old deck with low clearance.
3/8 sleeve anchors...
Compact and light.
Useless? The hammer function on my m18 drill is useless, and my 2 bosch hammer drills were both to big with bit

Speaking of useless tools.... obviously you are judging this without ever having tried it. When you have a ton of overhead holes to drill for anchors and this baby breezes through it in 1/4 the time of a hammerdrill without dislocating your shoulder....well, the tool has paid for itself
Lol. It's an SDS rotary hammer drill. Completely different then your standard drill driver with hammer function.
Yeah a rotary hammer and a hammer drill are two very differently-constructed tools that sometimes can accomplish the same thing. I'd change the title of this post to rotary hammer or SDS-plus rotary hammer to avoid confusion

Having had this tool for close to 2 years and beaten the ever living snot out of it, my findings are exactly the opposite.
This tool is excellent for it's intended use (and for not-so-intended uses). Installing any type of tapcon screw? This thing is a beast. I throw away the masonry bits that come in the tapcon containers because there is no way I would use a regular hammer drill ever again.
The small size of this versus the other SDS make it perfect for this application.
Additionally, I've drilled many 5/8 holes for Simpson Titen HD screws and installing rod with 2-part epoxy. I am not easy on this tool and it keeps going.
The only thing that is disappointing is that you can't turn off the rotation to use it as a chisel or a scraper.
If mine died I would just go buy another, sale or not. The time it saves will pay for it in one job.

Thanks. Why they design a SDS drill without hammer only chisel function

Just because you can't picture uses for it doesn't mean they don't exist. These are definitely more of a "pro tool" intended for trades - if your intended use involves drilling a lot of holes in concrete/masonry, one of these will do way better than a plain hammerdrill.

Tapcon screws don't need dedicated sds unless you drill 3/8 or bigger which this tool can't even handle anyway. I just installed about 20 5/16 tapcons (1/4" hole) using my gen4 m18 hammer drill into concrete retaining wall. Zero issues. Right now You can get the gen4 hammer/impact kit with two batteries for same price (after hack). You will get much more use out of that setup than from this one. I am not saying that this tool isn't capable, I am saying that it's useless because any function it performs can be done by a different multi-purpose tool for same or cheaper price. As you said it doesn't have a chisel mode either which could have been it's only redeemable function.
The m18 gen 4 fuel hammer drill and impact set are cheaper than this right now. The gen 4 hammer drill is stronger than this. Hell the m12 fuel hammer drill is almost as strong as this.
This tool will barely drill brick or cinderblock. forget about drilling any concrete with rebar in it. It's m12 and chews up batteries. There is nothing this tool excels at and at this price tag it's absolutely a ridiculous purchase.
I'm not sure you've ever used an SDS drill if you think this won't drill a hole in concrete or cinderblock faster than a hammer drill.
It's no M18, but it's still an SDS drill. I have no doubt this will outperform anything that isn't SDS when it comes to drilling any type of masonry or concrete.
