Yeah, I'm seeing a lot of $120 prices too. I saw Amazon had the same wire for about $106 with free shipping. So, this deal is better if you can pick it up. Or you have to figure out which is better after you add the shipping for this one. I went with this one because Blain's Farm & Fleet has a really good deal on carbon wrap water filters that I use so this worked out better for me, even with shipping.

Isn't NEC 12/2 for new builds and retrofitting these days?

It used to be that you could run 14/2 on a 15a breaker but someone recently told me that it's 10a now.

Probably confused with copper clad aluminum. That has lower current rating for same awg. I still haven't seen that in real life, neither installed nor at HD or Lowes.
