Yes that is a beautiful color. Each L.C. piece is unique due to the hand finishing. Some have more orange peel than others. My old Kiwi has a gorgeous smooth glossy finish.

Better price: (1) Williams-Sonoma New Years Day sale at stores. Great deals can be had Jan 2 in-store. Call stores for to check for discontinued and display models. (2) The non-Signature handle version if an old stock can be found. (3) This wide round isn't found easily in searches, keep looking, buy from a reputable dealer with free returns

COLORS: W-S has had great proprietary colors. Be picky. It will be with you for years. From W-S I have previously purchased Kiwi, Jade, Cactus which are three of my fav's. Price was $150 back then, I bought four.

I was gifted this for the holidays two and a half years ago... It quickly became my favorite cooking vessel.
I've even accidently burned Bolognese in it a couple times (completely my fault) and the enamel cleaned up just fine.

Love the shape of this in comparison to other Le Creuset normal collection stuff. Low and wide makes it super easy to use, and it'll suck up all the heat from my biggest gas burner. The blue color is great, too.

Highly recommend.

Obligatory: "why are these so expensive?!"
Yes you can get cheaper brands for a lot less, but their enamel is probably going to crack in 10 years or less. Le Creuset and Staub have been making this stuff for a very long time and know how to make an enamel coating that will last you a lifetime. Their warranty is very good, too.

My favorite L.C. piece. 11-3/4 wide x only 4" high makes it ideal for table service and gatherings and use as a roaster. Limited time deal at Williams

https://www.williams-sonoma.com/p...utch-oven/

Roasted chicken with vegetables in quantity then wipe clean easily with just a sponge. The extra wide bottom browns chicken in large batches without crowding. Also quite nice for paella and braising.

My 6-3/4 wide still looks new after 12 years of use. The interior will only discolor on the stove with high temperature never in the oven it seems.

Value, Price: Search here for past deals. Prime quality in desirable colors rarely falls below $250. Discontinued colors have been available for less.

Thanks for the head's up. I got mine about 8 years ago at a Le Creuset outlet in Aubergine (a beautiful deep purple color) for $179 plus tax. I'm still kicking myself for not buying two of them at the time since I use it constantly. It does clean up really easily.

Be warmed that specific colors may end up being backordered. We had to wait at least 6 weeks for ours (French gey) to ship. Otherwise, this is a great pot.

The taller sides on the 7.25 qt make it more versatile

Thanks for posting! For any naysayers reading this let me tell you, my oldest Le Creuset dates older than me and I'm almost 60. Well to be fair, I don't know if Grandma ever sent it back to get warrantied. So there is the possibility that it was replaced once in the past 60 to 70 (or more?) years. Anyways, it still works wonderfully. The enameling is still good. The secret there is we've only ever used wood utensils in it.

OMG the apricot color is...DELICIOUS!!!!!!!!! I got my first one that is like 8qt in sky blue, it's way too big and not a fan of that color but then I got this 2.5qt apricot one and it's just soooooo beautiful and I feel like it makes the food taste better lol

I would prefer this one over the chef's oven. This one is a good compromise between their traditional dutch oven and braiser. It's probably my used used piece of Le Creuset. This one has more surface area at the bottom for browning. I have a slightly smaller version of the chef's oven and rarely use it since it takes forever to brown anything.
