Save your time and go with a sand filter. More up front but you'll get a cleaner and easier to maintain pool, and arguably the filters will eventually end up costing your more in the long run.
Wow, these were going for about $200 during the pandemic. Seems like a good price. If you've got a small pool with the smaller intext pump (500 GPH maybe?) then this is an excellent upgrade. Moves more water through the filter faster keeping it cleaner in a shorter period of time.

Can anyone comment on using one of these for a hot tub? The filters for mine are pretty expensive and clog immediately. The water gets up to 107 which isn't too hot for this right?

I have been threatening to put a spiral slide on our about ground pool deck. I got the slide and now I will have a high volume pump to circulate water. Thx!
This filter is garbage. With the filter cartridge installed it's going to move way less than 1000gph. Barely moved enough water to circulate my 10'x 30" pool, and couldn't run the skimmer that needs 800 gph. It also uses a ceramic impeller shaft. If doesn't arrive broken you'll only get a season or two out of it before it snaps. During the pandemic you couldn't order parts so I upgraded to this filter instead. https://www.amazon.com/Xtremepowe...B088TC3C6C
Disagree with previous posters. I upgraded to this last year and it is far better than the one that came with our 10' x 30" pool. looks like a hot tub jet coming out the side for us where the other one barely moved the water. If I had a real pool I would certainly get a better filter but for $40 this is a great deal. Just looked it up and the one that came with our intex was 330 gallon, big difference.

Depends on your model but the filter cartridge is too small for my hot tub. If you're replacing the entire filter, this is fine. As an aside, you shouldn't set a hot tub higher than 104 for health reasons.
Nope, perfect size. I run a kiddie pool park in the summer (65 kiddie pools and counting!) and I run these Intex pumps on all of them and frequently get comments about how clean my pools are compared to competitors.
