Even with 40% off prices are still sky high ridiculous. I stopped buying candy completely because it's a rich man's or suckers game now.
There is not enough cocoa in any of these products to qualify for the description of "chocolate". You should change the title to 'candy bars' or 'chocolate covered' so others don't feel misled into expecting to find actual chocolate. Or at least use the marketing term 'chocolatey' that manufacturers do to keep from being sued for fraud.

Sounds like your complaint is with the manufacturers since it says "chocolate" on the packaging of Hershey's and some of the others.

Nope, search for the FDA requirements for ingredient listings. Most of these don't even qualify for 'milk chocolate' labeling. The point being that using the term in the Title of this post is annoyingly vague. If you're talking about chocolate it should be the FIRST item in the ingredients list, not sixth or lower.

Be careful what you wish for. It was either USDA or the FDA, but used to getting "grade A" honey required it NOT be ultra filtered because pollen at least provided some indictation the product still was honey. Now grade A honey is required to be ultra-filtered, which also requires added heating to force the honey through the superfine pores. So now grade A honey is heated and ultrafiltered. And adulterated, as it is MUCH harder to detect adulteration if all the complex elements it's are removed. Frown

This person is right. who pays $30 for candy? unhealthy and makes you fat filled with addictive ingredients. This is a tax on people who can't control their snacking. Criminal, someone should file a lawsuit against these multi-billion $ "food" companies. No wonder kids nowadays are fat af, programmed 24/7 by candy ads. You can bet your depreciating dollars that the executives at these companies don't eat their own crap, like drug peddlers don't snort their own product.

ps: reluctantly bought two bags

Yeah, I was similarly disappointed when I saw this wasn't actually about chocolates (real chocolate bars, chocolate truffles, etc.). A better headline definitely would have been "Candy blah blah blah".

I'm not saying Snickers bars, for instance, are bad; I like 'em from time to time. But ain't no one I know would call them "chocolates" any more than Oscar Mayer Lunchables would be called "a charcuterie platter."

Do you freeze chocolate if you don't intend to eat it anytime soon? I have 3 pound bag of mini m&ms I got from a woot deal. Intended to use it as mix ins for ninja creami protein ice cream, but haven't gotten around to it. Should've of not been greedy and just bought the smaller size pouches
