The lights are cool...but I pretty much just leave them on red and a breathing gold color for the front. But the lights and the light patterns aren't diverse enough to be a selling point for these speakers. Probably the best feature is that it can handle USB connection and Bluetooth, so I can leave my Fire Tablet wireless on my desk and just play music without turning on my computer or having extra wires.
The negatives...there's a rattling sound from the left speaker that seems to be common. It's more noticeable if you're going from quiet to having a loud sound (like in Windows alerts). The other annoyance is that the lights will go to their default state when you turn the computer off. You have to set the G-button to cycle through the dimmable modes to be able to turn them off without needing to turn off power to the speakers. Would have been nicer if the lights just woke up with the computer like every other RGB peripheral I have (including the Logitech keyboards and mice).
I paid $200 for mine (I think I had a Dell coupon), but I don't like it at even this sale price. Maybe at $100 it would be an ok price point, but I'd say look for something better for this much money.
