1917 is amazing with high end audio, and you kinda have to be in the mood for it. I can see why people don't enjoy it, especially if they watch it on a tablet or with shitty TV speakers.
1917, a masterpiece in my opinion, but that's just me.
It's amazing, one of best movies in recent years

1917 was one of the most overrated movies, others may not agree, but it is.
Followed by Inglourious Basterds except for the 15 mins of Christoph Waltz.
I was with you until the second part of your sentence.
1917 to me was forgettable but Inglorious Basterds is really good. Even if the second half is not as strong as the first half. The bar scene is amazing.

1917 definitely overrated, but still a great movie.
I'm kind of tired of Quintin Terrantino's fantasy alternate history movies — I thought it would just be Ingloriuous, but he went on to do the same thing in Django and Once Upon a Time in Hollywood. We all wish things were different in history, but it doesn't change the fact of what really occurred. His formula is incredibly stale and if he does this in future movies, I'm not interested.

Completely agree, it's one of the few movies that got a reference transfer in the PQ & AQ!
It's a must have on disc especially on the AQ side compared to digital code.
