In Baltimore, they do random check of personal items to make sure they comply with the size restriction. You need to pay for hand-carry and checked luggage. We had two personal item and one checked baggage, which was enough for our 9 days trip.
KEF is your entry into EU and you have to go thru border control and show your passport. The stop is about an hour. There was enough time to comfortably make the connecting flight.
I have no complain. I am happy with the flights and will fly Play again.
