$307.99 and plus your local added tax if no tax ID

Then 2.5% SD "cashback"; but at limited places? If you turn off adblock, allow tracking, turn on slickdeal plugin ONLY, allow canvasing etc.. and then clear cache and login to slickdeals (plugin and site?) again. Or use phone app.

That's a good price for what it is. I've been saying what it is, is a bit much unless you play to large outdoor like crowd; but you can turn it down. Not best for bedroom or your neighborhood though; if you want its max distortion or didn't buy a pricey output attenuation sink.

I've been saying it's not name brand; but it is kinda. Just not classic brand; but that should only matter if it's more than the brand.

I caution you to not just think of this as the big brother[better] to the MP SR 15W combo ($200 when on sale) as it's twice the weight and lends to the false idea; that all tube amps are heavy. The 25lbs MP SR 15W tube combo is the exception.

For bedroom to stage (with rock drummer) and portability from garage to any practice local then the 15W is a steal.

For huge concerts where ear piercing loud is desired and then this might somehow be the only amplified speaker for your guitar, plus a fine workout moving it then it's a relative bargain.

If you are a collector then you probably want to look at heads. But don't buy to experiment. Do your research first. Verify everything BEFORE spending. Even if you have money to burn. It's like your vote; for future, great gear to come.

Note: Even collectors need to draw the line somewhere. Where ever you want. I like the fact; that the MP 15W tube combo covers just about everything, for $200. And I am no fan of working your way up, through lesser gear. Would not those funds do better if saved for your eventual favorite? Or a $30 Cube Baby add on; just to keep the fast changing digital stuff (and numerous pedals) under cost control.

If you don't know; almost any amp can benefit from some extra boost and/or extra gain up front; when you want extra touch sensitivity for leads, rock and metal.

And I recommend knowing how to dial-in just about any amp tone manually, on various amp types. Manually, with different ways to do it. All good.

And as far as old school and new, clean to metal, solid or tube, modeling or original, knobs or presets, I say do both and all the above. In the best cost effective way; that suites you.

The extreme budget beginner could just get the $30 Cube Baby and headphones(and what have you, for power amp and speaker). You could even practice through your newer smart phone. Why waste funds on "practice-only amps"; when you could get nicer amps or pedals?

Also at $200 when on sale, as your top budget then that all tube combo is the whole package; with most tones; even before adding the Cube Baby or other pedals/units later. Combo's are the do all bargain. You get portability at whatever weight, a cabinet, built-in "head", in this case CLASSIC select tubes, great bedroom to stage ability, a guitar voiced 12" Celestion speaker, and a 3-band pre-amp EQ, Tone(presence) power amp EQ, Real spring reverb(moderate), 1W input attenuation for whisper high gain tones, down to the volume of your strings, played unplugged (between 0.5 to 0.9 Volume, WHEN at max gain), nice build quality, FX loop connections (deal breaker if none), real metal corner guards, premium fancy handle, and all the rest.

Note: The 50W combo has the better cab spacing and best plywood for sound; but this is heavy. While the 15W combo has press-board and a size optimized cab, for excellent carry weight; that almost anyone can manage by themselves, without back issues. While I would have no trouble carrying the 50W combo; I would not want to do it regularly and repetitively. Because; I still get great sound out of the 15W combo. And it is a great cost effective foundation; that stops much "GAS" or Gear Acquisition Syndrome.

You do you. Those are just my observations, and details for you.

Add: I would be all over this; if not for the weight. I think about 25lbs is enough for portability; before things start to get cumbersome. This one 50W is like carrying two 15W MP combos; But congrats to those who love them.

It's manual says, "Weight 51.8 lbs." Anyone have an accurate scale for theirs and might care to post if it matches?
