Pros
Slightly better newer gen CPU
-Marginal Performance Boost
-Better Battery Life?
2MP Camera?
Camera Privacy Shutter
Touch Screen
Fingerprint Scanner off the Trackpad
USB-C Charging w/ Power Delivery Standard?
-Can't find proof except for the statement on notebookcheck's article
Stronger Chassis?
Better Feeling Keyboard?
Cons
8GB Ram
-Looks like it might throttle performance
---2021 Gateway---

Pros
16GB Ram
Cons
Apparently glue comes off screen over time?
-(Major deal breaker for me if the glue can come off. Not sure if this is the same for the other version.)
Battery Bulging Problems?
Older Gen CPU
Charges through USB-C, but doesn't support USB PD.
-I'm still a noob with the charging stuff, but I think this may lead to overcharging
Notes
I tried out the fingerprint scanner and it doesn't have any issues for me...
---Similarities---
Around the same IPS panel colors
Both have an expandable m.2 SATA memory compartment and only accept SATA m.2 SSDs
Both have the same iGPU (Intel Iris Xe Graphics G7 80EUs)
Both have soldered RAM
Someone's small comparison video sorta featuring both laptops:

My biggest gripe honestly is the clicky-ness of the trackpad, which some might enjoy. I'm used to my lenovo which makes no sound, this one has a very audible "click". It's not something that would sway me from buying again though.
There's also a youtube review that shows you how to crank up the performance, not sure if the same is true on this. It does come at the expense of battery life.
If you don't need the touchscreen, I think the 11th gen deal is better overall.

It's not for AAA gamers, just like it's not for upgrading

GPU performance is worse with the 12th gen, likely due to the TDP bottleneck. The 11th gen they compared to had a 18w PL1 vs the 15w PL1 of the 12th gen. I imagine if you up the PL1 of the 11th gen to the 28w max (which you can do in the BIOS of the gateway) you should beat out the 12 gen at the expense of battery.
The one in the comparison video is the 15 inch gateway vs this newer one. The screen design of the 14 inch 11th gen gateway doesn't look to be the same so hopefully no glue coming off.
