Adding below points for some of the users , who asked same questions same time :

1. This is not bill credit .
2. This deal will give you z flip 3 for 180.
3. You can pay off the phone in cash for $180 at Verizon Corporate store , with in first 14 days . You line will be eligible to unlock again.
4. After 14 days , you can pay online full $180 and your line will be eligible to be upgrade again.
5. You can request for unlock , if you have old verizon account in good standing , even with in 60 days , if phone is paid off. Customer service will take request and may able to unlock in 48 hrs. I did my 2 phones in past , after they are paid off.

6. For Verizon Unlock , you need not to keep the service active for 60 days. You can cancel after one month or 14 days , whenever you . Just make sure phone is active and paid in full before cancelling the line , so phone get unlocked in 60 days.

I bought this phone on the last deal ($288 $8*36 months) for my Mom. I read the reviews and she is not a heavy phone user, so I wasn't worried about the screen cracking or poor battery life. Phone arrives (signature required btw, so you need to be home) - I could not activate it. 2 1/2 hours chatting with Verizon - most of that was them convincing me to upgrade my own phone for free, plus special online only 50% off deals on accessories. Verizon tells me I should be able to activate the Flip within 24 hours (I was transferring a number). Next day - no luck. Drove to where there was a better cell signal - no luck. Went into a Verizon store.

They had nothing good to say about the phone. No matter the usage, they say the screen gets a black line through the middle. (And made me feel a little stupid for buying it). Frown It is a cute phone and I thought perfect for Mom - but I listened to Verizon - went a different route with a newer Motorola Edge and a different upgrade for me. The order could not go through because of the pending order I did online. After almost 3 hours in the store - I have no phones and multiple pending charges on my credit card.

When I called Verizon to make sure everything was cancelled - they told me two things:
1. I could not add the Galaxy Flip to my existing plan - I needed to upgrade to unlimited plans for everyone. (Parents do NOT use data)
2. The trade in value for this phone was $150

Over the top frustration with Verizon - each person I spoke with gave me a different story. Now that this phone is only $180 - I think I want to re-buy it and figure out how to do a pre-paid plan or new carrier.
Based off other Walmart deals I've gotten, this shouldn't be bill credits but should be the final cost. So you could pay it off as soon as Verizon lets you (I don't recall offhand how long that is) and it would still only cost $180.

Looks like it. When I tried to go through the checkout, it asked to check my credit and was unable to skip or decline.

I can't find anything online about whether we're able to pay it off early & unlock. If so, this deal will be frontage.
