It's sad that Harbor Freight parking lot sales have turned into "gated community" sales due to their reliance on Inside Track to boost revenue.

It's my suspicion that they do this to enforce the "one use per customer per day" coupons.

I tried to buy something the other day, not even an inside track deal item, but they wouldn't ring it up unless I gave them a phone number. I don't want them calling/texting me or selling my number to someone that does, so I made up a number but it wasn't in their system. Eventually had to go through the whole process of creating "an account" just to buy a stupid $10 thing. What a waste of time...I really should've just left and got what I wanted at the nearby Menards.

Tried that, didn't work. As I said before, the clerk wouldn't ring it up unless I gave them a phone number - and this was well before I brought out the coupon. Not that I was a great customer of theirs before, but they've probably lost me for good after that waste of time.
