I called Ego customer support and asked if Woot is considered an authorized dealer. The lady put me on hold for a minute and came back and said it is an authorized dealer. I didn't ask for anything in writing, but that's good enough for me. If anyone else gets another answer, please post what they said to you.

I have this equipment for almost a year, I wouldn't recommend to get this model. The reason is because the string won't auto feed like how it advertised and you don't have a way to make the string come out. I have been cutting my grass with short string and not sure when the sting will extend.

Anyone know if this would qualify for warranty? I don't think so based on the information on the ego site (only Lowe's, ace, and amazon.com listed as authorized retailers)

Is it bare tool? It only lists the trimmer as being "in the box", but the last picture shows a battery and a charger. The part number includes battery and charger at Lowe's.

While I am excited for deals like this, I would be very leery of buying from Woot given the higher rate of failures for the battery. Too many stories of people buying and returning with bad batteries to amazon. I would love to stand corrected here.

I was going to buy this trimmer a while back but saw a lot of reviews saying the line iQ stopped working after a few months. Good deal but make sure to keep your receipt for warranty.

It is supposed to be 4.0 if you check the EGO website, but according to the pictures in Woot.com it is BA2800T = 5.0ah. Either way I believe it's a good deal and bought myself one 😌

Yea, I hard to search the model to confirm this "kit" should have a 4.0 battery as well. It shows up at Ace for 299 on sale from 329 so not a bad deal.

This is a great deal given the battery can easily be sold for $150. This is going to save me hours of frustration of having to push out new line as I'm edging against fences and rocks.
