I got two of the tailslides last time, my experience has been....ok, and strange. I would say, definitely expect to have to tool on the bikes to get them to work properly and if you're not comfortable with that then don't order them. I had to make adjustements on:
Both derailleur guards
Both derailleurs
One of the bikes the front light is very dim, it looks like the inside board slid back in the housing and I am yet to try to fix it
One rear brakes needed adjusting
Same bike the front disc brake rotor was slightly bent (just bent it back by hand slowly! make small adjustments)
And the rear wheel on the same bike desperately needed truing, which I did once I ordered a cheap spoke wrench on Amazon and referenced this video [youtube.com].

NOW, on to the strange:
1. Woot accidentally sent me a Hurley Big Swell which I did not order, but told me to just keep it, which was pretty 'swell' I hope to sell it.
2. The speedometer/odometer on one of the bikes stopped working after 45mi, which means the motor won't turn on because it thinks you are going 0.0 mph, and after a bunch of research I found this video [youtube.com], which helped me diagnose the problem. After removing the hub motor cover, I found a single magnet that did not appear to ever have been glued (and was out of its proper position). After trial and error, and putting the bike back together 3 times, I fixed it, but it was a pain in the butt. Before opening the motor I tried to contact Joyride bikes and they told me to contact Woot, who told me to either send it back or offered me a partial refund. I decided to try to fix it first, then take it to a bike shop if I couldn't, then send it back if they couldn't, but was able to fix it myself, so pretty sweet, and now just waiting on some sealant to arrive so I can take it apart yet again and reapply sealant to the cover.

Before I diagnosed the problem I took the bike apart pretty thoroughly and I would definitely NOT ride these in any sort of rain or wet environment because the weatherproofing is minimal.

The bikes themselves though are very sweet, super fun to ride and I never feel the need to go above 2 pedal assist. Plenty of power and have about 75mi on it now. I have a 17mi bike path near me and I will usually bike down without pedal assist, and back on level 2 and always end up with 75% battery left. If you're comfortable with bikes or DIY, or taking it to a bike shop that will work on it, I would definitely recommend it! Just know what you are getting.

Hurley Unisex Hybrid-Bicycles Amped ST Single Speed E-Bike, good single speed bike, use it for work about 6 miles away round trip, speeds up to 20mph headlights bright, minimal assembly, mostly major parts tires, handlebars, seat, and pedals.had to sand it down and respray black with 1 can of spray paint, and battery lasts about 17 miles on a single charge, roughly 4 hours to charge. So far I have 145 miles since bought it in February and glad I did because price went up a hundred more, plus you can find the batteries on temu for around $170.00

Look for that bike shop BEFORE you buy, since most won't work on ebikes, and the ones that sell them will only work on the ones they sell.

The Amped ST looks much bigger than the recommended minimum height for a female that is 5'4". Can anyone who has it confirm whether a 5'4" woman would be able to get on it?

I have the Amped ST,I'm 5' 6" and my feet don't touch the ground. They should have it listed as minimum of 5'8" in my opinion. Also noticed that it is showing as Sold Out now.

Woot webpage states tailslides has 7 speed, does this bike have FD? Woot page bike image showing Tourney RD, Schrader valve, 28in wheel size(including tire and 700c). Does it has 7 speed freewheel or cassette?

Thanks for very detailed first hand experience and admire your DIY ability.

Its 7 speed. Rear only, no FD I meant both derailleurs as in on both bikes. I'm not sure freewheel or cassette I'll look tomorrow.
