Very handy tool... much faster and safer than using an axe/hatchet alone...

There are some of these with packaging damage for like $58. There is about a 3# weight difference from OP but the other specs are about the same. For over 40% off, I think I'm going generic ("more bigger and heavier" from the product photo - LOL).

Much better price and the same size with a first hand review. Works for me, thanks!

The only thing I would do different that I assume applies to all of them would be put some sort of rubber or foam "gasket" in between the cracker and the wood stump I mounted it too. As of right now it makes a ringing sound that is fairly loud with each wack. Its not a huge deal, but doesn't seem ideal long term for hearing...

I have had the OP version for almost 8 years and it's still as sharp as can be. I have never sharpened it once. I also have a generic one I bought about 5 years ago from Amazon for camping because was lighter. I have to sharpen The knockoff version yearly with my grinder and it has taken a toll on it. I don't see that one lasting more then a few more years. The metal is much softer. Not sure what the difference is but the quality in metal is defiantly different.
