Personal preference, but I feel like the braceleted version for an extra 10 bucks would be the play. Orient makes a good watch though. Whoever buys one of these will surely be happy with it.

Decent intro watch into the automatic movement genre. Kind of hard to complain at this price point, but it would be nice to have sapphire glass (this has mineral glass). Also would be nice if Joma actually listed the movement instead of just saying "Japan mvmt"

Expect the mineral glass to get scuffed up easily. Otherwise this is about as cheap as you can get if you want an automatic dive watch with date AND day of week. My coworker has one and insists the lume is amazing. Also probably better to look out for a bracelet model than rubber strap.

If you want a steel bracelet, it's absolutely worth the extra $10. Personally, I usually put my dive watches and beaters on NATO straps. So I'd save the $10. Just depends on your individual needs.

Absolutely true. I get my NATOs from CNS and they're usually pretty good quality, but their prices are awesome. I always find myself rummaging through the sale section and before I know it I have like 15 random colors and sizes in my cart.
