I use retinol moisturizer a couple times a week and see a little difference in crows' feet, but it's not drastic (my 20yo self is punching my 44yo self). Just don't use it during the day because it causes UV sensitivity in most people.

I thought retinol is sensitive to air and light (and heat). That tub container, once opened and every time it's opened, pretty much deactivates the retinol compound.

Short answer = yes. The active ingredient is suspended in a gel to help limit exposure to oxygen. The average product will have lost 1/3rd of its potency after 1 month.

Would a product in a pump or tube instead of the jar be more potent over a longer time?
