Some of the youtube reviews are pretty good on these.
Hard to beat that sale price!

These things jump between $230 and $130 all the time. No like the current price? Check in a day or two. At $130, you should absolutely consider buying one. Most are quite good out of the box. No like the one they sent? Return it at Amazon's expense. I just wish they offered it in literally ANY other finish. Tobaccoburst is the most tired, boring, "me-too" finish there is outside of black. But if you can get past that, it is a great sub $400 guitar for only $130 and a much better buy than the Indio posted earlier today.

Edit: looks like I'm repeating what's already been said. I guess two recommendations are better than one, but I should have read through.

Yes, crazy fluctuations. You're kind of rolling the dice on these, but with Amazon's return policy it's a limited risk.

I have this and really like it. Got a good one, and the impression I get is that ost of them are good. The trapeze makes for interesting tone. The hollow body makes it super light. Playability is great. I actually upgraded mine (tuners were so so at best, pickups were pretty good but I had some on hand) and still play it pretty often.

At $130, go for it if you're curious at all or want to try a semi hollow or trapeze tail. Wild value.

looks like it's made in Indonesia instead of Vietnam now. Just FYI.

This guitar (and many of the IYV brand instruments) are constantly going on and off sale on Amazon - I've purchased and returned 2 of this model already due to quality control issues - buzzing, finish flaws - runs, drips, pinholes, etc.. as well as misaligned tuning heads and broken/missing parts of the binding around the f holes. The pickups sound OK, though the bridge position is "Ice picky" in quality and the toggle switch for the pickup selection is quite loud when switched - maybe it needs a rubber grommet, or just a quieter switch. YMMV - seems like a decent guitar for upgrades if you get one that doesn't need any work (or like doing that sort of thing on a new instrument).

Amazon ad says Vietnam. IVY is a Korean Co. selling guitars made in Vietnam. I have a flame top green LP from them that is impressively good. Great fit and finish. I wrote to IVY for specs and they sent them too me. Impressive construction. Maple cap that you can see through the beautiful transparent finish. Flame veneer on top of that. Real MOP inlays. Electronics are okay. Biggest weakness is poor tuners. I'm buying this one now, and if it is nearly the same, I'll keep it.Otherwise it is an easy return. http://www.inyenvinaguitars.com/p...itars.html.
