the only downside is you don't get to peel the plastic wrap off and then sit there and wonder if paying full price for a game was worth it

The digital content that came with preorders was just boring cosmetics. There weren't any DLC missions with this so no worries even if the codes were already redeemed.

torn between this platform and pc platform. the pc platform has rtx enhancement thus making the game better visually than console platforms

Boycott was overplayed by many bc there are simply a lot of Harry Potter fans out there. I think people who politicized this either pro or con greatly overstated how many people actually paid attention to any of it. But hype is just that. Of everyone I know bought it, Im pretty confident they ve all moved on already.

It's an ok game. The castle is amazing. The open world is weak. If you liked any part of Harry Potter you will enjoy the game. If you are not familiar it's not that good for the price.

Serious question: Do I have to be a Harry Potter fan to enjoy the game?.. cuz I'm about 20 hours in(just got the 3rd broom upgrade) and I find it boring as F. Seriously. People told me it's like Elden Ring meets Witcher 3, yet those games are WAY better.

I bet you're looking at another 6 months. Maybe the holiday season? The money you'd save on games with a disc edition I'd just buy one and sell the digital.
